If the Ship-To address includes only a Contact Name and not a Company Name, ShipGear moves the Contact Name to the WorldShip "Company or Name" field. The reason is that this is a required field in WorldShip and cannot be left blank.
A valid email address is required in order for email notification to occur (Sender, Recipient, Other, Quantum View, etc). ShipGear automatically disables the notification if the e-mail address is left blank or is not valid.
Here is an example of when ShipGear applies its built-in rules. When you process a shipment, if the e-mail address read from the Sales Receipt (or other source document) is blank, ShipGear will automatically deselect the associated e-mail notification flag so that you don’t get an error saving the shipment.
