Input fields are stored in the ShipGear database in order to be used in eNotify email templates or the ShipGear Dashboard. Fields can be mapped from the QuickBooks source document or defined by the user.
These fields are additional fields from the QuickBooks document whose values can be used in email notifications and viewed or exported in the Dashboard. The Source Document shipment fields that are available for mapping are the :
These fields should be mapped to their corresponding QuickBooks document field. Some of these fields may be mapped by default. To map an input field, select it in the center panel and then select the Source and the Field from which ShipGear should get the value.
In the eNotify Template Designer, you will see the mapped Source field available when adding :
dynamic fields : under Source Info; For example, Source Info.PO Number
shipment fields: under the Source Info menu item
These fields are also visible in the Dashboard in the Shipment History View widget and in the Shipment Detail.
You can also create fields to store values that you want to use in eNotify templates. For example, you could create a field called Customer Email and map it to a field in the source document that stores the customer's email address. The new User Defined field will be available when building email notifications in the eNotify Template Designer. For users shipping with multiple sources, the User Defined fields you created for one source will also be available when you switch to another source.
