Write Back

ShipGear’s default interface is set up to automatically update the Shipping Status and Shipment Tracking Number back to the eBay Transaction. These settings are enabled by default and can be controlled from Write-Back Setup.

To change how write-back to eBay occurs, change the default settings as shown below.

1. In ShipGear Exchange, click Customize Interface and select Transactions.
   
   
   
    
   

2. Select Write-Back Setup. and then select the Shipping Status node.
   
   If you uncheck the Update eBay Transaction Shipping Status, ShipGear will not update a transaction's shipping status when you process shipments.
   If you uncheck the Add Tracking Number to eBay Transaction, ShipGear will not add the tracking number information to the transaction details.
   
   
   
   
    
   

Write-Back Results

After processing a shipment with Write-Back enabled, you will see the updated Shipping Status and Tracking Number(s).

Note that the Item marked is marked as shipped and that the tracking number is written back to the order details :
