Processing

If you previously used one of these methods to create Ground Freight shipments in WorldShip®, write-back to the source interface will not occur.

To successfully write back shipment and tracking information to your source accounting, eCommerce or ERP interface, the Ground Freight information needs to be imported with the order, invoice, transaction, etc. You can do this through mapping the Ground Freight fields as described below.

Mapping Ground Freight Fields

Map the Shipping Method

For write-back to occur for Ground Freight shipments, you will need to either set up a Value Translation to the source field or create a separate interface with a fixed value mapping.

To automatically import the Service > Ground (Freight Shipping) value from the source document, you can map the Ground (Freight Shipping) field to a source field that contains the shipping method (like "Ship Via"). Then, click the "Click here to update Value Translations" link to provide value translations for possible values from the source field.

You can also map the source to a fixed value by selecting Fixed Value from the Source field and choosing a value.

Ground Freight Options

Ground Freight Options can be mapped as fixed values or to Source fields. Note : If you are shipping items that do not have the same Freight Class, you will want to manually enter the Freight Class on the shipment.

You can also enter them manually after the shipment is imported into WorldShip®.
